“But as for you, you meant evil against me; but God meant it for good, in order to bring it about as it is this day, to save many people alive.”
– Genesis 50:20
David was told that he was going to be king of Israel, but He spent most of the next ten years of his life on the lam. Joseph had a dream in which he ruled over his brothers, but he spent the next thirteen years as a slave and a prisoner. Although you do know the consequence in both cases, you cannot foresee your own future. Yet, you can trust God to operate on the same principles.
You have to be reminded that God is in control. Your life is not in a tailspin, manipulated by fate or circumstance. An omniscient, sovereign God is dominating over everything. There are no accidents. He is never surprised. He knows where to lead you. He knows precisely what will be helpful to you. You might be going through some certain circumstances now but you have to be positive about it. For the Lord never intend to hurt you but to teach you something. All you have to do is trust His ways and depend upon Him.
God who is in control is working for your good and His glory. He never encourages or fosters evil. He is always looking out for your best interests. The conflict comes because what He sees as working for your good is not what you desire. God uses adversity, dryness, temptation, and testing for your welfare.
God will bless others through your wilderness. He is working not only for your good but also for the benefits of all His people. God is always after your benefit. Everything that you are going through right now will make you a better person. Whatever circumstances you are facing now, God wants you to learn something. He wants you to totally depend on Him. Our God is a dependable God. You might fall but He won’t let you touch the ground because He loves you. He will protect you from harm. When God is leading you towards something He will be with you for He wants nothing but the best for you. Therefore, you need not to question Him and His plans.
When you have Christ in your heart, you can be certain that everything that happens to you is for your own good. All you have to do is trust Him. When you learn to trust Him fully, doubts disappears and fears vanishes. Nothing can out power our Mighty God. He is all powerful and all knowing. The moment that your heart rest in His promises, life becomes easy. You can be sure that you can surpass every adversity that can come across you for the Lord your God is with you. As long as you have Christ Jesus in your heart, you need not to bother about what will happen to you because He already died for you and has risen to fight for you. Certainly, everything that He does is for your own good.
