Our heart shall rejoice in Him, because we have trusted in His holy name.

- Psalms 33:21

One significant problem concerning our faith is reliance upon personal experience. Although the Lord’s answers are cause for celebration, you must be careful not to base your confidence on individual cases.

You were created to glorify the Lord, but not all of your requests are designed to honor Him. God alone knows how to answer you so that His provision magnifies His name above all else. That is why He meets your needs often in unusual or unexpected ways. In such instances you know the Lord has worked sovereignty, and your praise is amplified. God always responds to your faith so that you are conformed to the image of Christ.

Though marred by sin, you are being molded into Christ-likeness. Thus, God’s focus is greater on transforming you into Christ’s image than on your requests. So, how does faith works in you? With faith, it makes you understand the plans of God. It is impossible to hold on to God’s promises without faith. You can’t stand upon His word without faith.

Another thing that faith does is assurance. If you have faith in your heart, there is nothing that God will not do. Your faith shall make you see what God wants you to see. If you remain in His word, your faith will be more than enough to delete all your doubts and anxieties.

With faith, transformation is attainable. There’s just nothing that you cannot do when you have faith. It becomes a positive machinery of your life in performing transformation. By and by you will improve and will seek excellence in your life. Transformation gets friendly when your faith tells you that you are doing a good job.

Faith, empowers you, motivates you, and it fuels you. Things that surround you might pull you down but if you have faith in the Lord His hands will be upon you. Though things might not happen the way you wanted it to be, with faith you can be sure that all things work together for good. The Lord becomes more visible when your faith is powerful over your doubts. Therefore, never let your faith get dull. How will you then empower your faith?

Your greatest asset, which is your faith, can be consolidated through your daily dose of God’s word. The word of God shall make you scrutinize the faith that you have. When you are filled with the promises of God, you are maximizing your asset- faith. The Word of God shall fuel you and it will empower you. It gives your faith a sort of its daily vitamins that will nourish and increase it. It will also guard your heart from fears and doubts.

Being aware of the power of the foundation of your faith opens up your eyes to the truth of what your faith can really do for you. When you place your confidence in God, your faith depends on His criteria, not yours.

“Do not be anxious about anything but in everything by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, present your request to God and the peace of God which transcends all understanding will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”

- Philippians 4:6-7

Webster’s definition of worry is to feel uneasy or troubled, to cause to feel anxious or troubled, a source of nagging concern. Having this kind of feeling everyday causes stress; eventually leading to debilitating diseases.

Students may have worries about their forthcoming examinations or may even have cramming, fears, and sleepless nights. Even mothers may have anxieties and apprehensions if their budget can augment to their daily needs. If we have negative thoughts and negative feelings, we will have a negative life. An aspiring employee worries whether he would be promoted amongst the roster or not. A single woman worries when she would meet “Mr. Right”.

Our actions are direct results of our thoughts. Many had failed in their decisions because instead of praying, they were dominated by worries – rushing into decisions which resulted to unfavorable consequences; consequences which could not be reverted.

Worry is synonymous to fear – a reflection of having faithlessness in God. It is an expression of our doubts and unbelief. God wants us to be anxious for nothing. God wants us to replace our negative minds with positive thoughts and confession. Something good will happen to us. As a man thinks in his heart, so does he becomes.

Why worry when you can pray? We do not need to give up praying. If we keep on praying, a popular motto says, “When we work, we work. When we pray, God works.” Great men in the bible succeeded in great battles only when they prayed to God. Revivalists in the early centuries like John Knox, Wesley Duewel, Jonathan Edwards and all others, were able to see radical changes in their nations because they fell on their knees in prayer.

He will always be delighted by our humble actions and if we press on towards the throne of His grace. The more our lives will be changed and the more we will see clearly His wonderful plans for us.

What does your anxiety do? It does not cause you to forget tomorrow, but it does exasperate you today. It does not make you escape the evil but it makes you unfit to cope when it comes. God gives us the power to bear the burdens and lighten our heavy loads.

We must always put our trust and confidence in Him. He will surely ease our pains and difficulties. If our affairs are perplexed or distressed, He provides us with complete protection and support. He leads us to the right direction, a pathway to a life that is full of hope and much provision.

We must pray fervently to receive His answers and better results. The effect is peace from Him which will keep our hearts and minds safe in His care.

Remember, God is always on our side. Keep on believing. Claim His promises. His answers are always there anticipating for us.

Who knows what lies ahead? Your plans and your goals can determine it, but who ascertains it?

Only God can. He is cautiously, wisely, and purposely masterminding all things according to His schedule and eternal design. He is the headmaster planner of our life, and he regulates it. In Him, we can be certain of the time to come because God is in full control of everything. The only key is: “Seek ye first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, and ALL these things shall be added unto you” (Matthew 6: 33).

Our confidence is not in our abilities, but in His omniscience, omnipotence, and omnipresence. When we focus our eyes to God, He is faithful enough to provide a happy and satisfying life for us. He alone knows what to give you. What seems to be bewildering and enigmatic to us is perfectly rational and plain to our all- seeing, all-caring Father. Nothing bewitches Him by surprise. Nothing thwarts His plan. The very thing you have to do is to put Him first in all you do. Certainly, He will lead you to the profitable life you have ever hoped for.

There may be times where you might feel that His plans are dense, but that is the time that he wants you to trust in His marvelous plans and perfect timing. When you put Him first in your life, you can be of great confidence that he is doing something good for you, far beyond you can ever imagine.

You might find yourself in a difficult situation. But if you put your confidence in Him, and abide in Him, and trust Him with all your heart, you will be able to learn. You may come across unanticipated changes, but your fears and anxieties can be driven off as you learn to rest in his providential direction and provision. The Lord wants you to accomplish your every goal and give you your heart’s desire. If you open your heart to Him, He will impart to you His perfect plans. Once you enjoy seeking Him alone with all your heart, you will find strength in following every step that He reveals to you.

Whatever it is that you desire right now, be it a job promotion or a good car, a house loan or a lifetime partner- it will all be done to you. All you have to do is open up your heart to God and put him first and good life will follow you. God is a generous God. What you should really desire right now, right at this moment is for you to have a genuine relationship with the Father through Jesus Christ, and all these things shall be added to you. The Lord, as long as you focus your eyes on Him and seek Him first will ensure you a blessed life- a life beyond you can ever imagine, a prosperous life. He will gladly add all the things you have ever hoped for, whenever you devote yourself solely to Him. He is the God who can give you what you deserve more than what you desire. He is a God who can do all things for you. Just seek Him and His righteousness.
